CoT 50th: Looking back

The yearlong celebration of the College of Technology's 50th anniversary came to an end April 25 with a gala in Hangar 1 of Niswonger Aviation Technology Building. The party capped a 10-month celebration that highlighted each department, past and current employees, and glimpses of what's to come in the next 50 years.

Alumni Profile:

Success is brewing for EET alum Brown

Justin Brown is no stranger to hard work or to chasing a dream. His dream of running his own successful business has taken him from Colorado ski country to an up-and-coming area of Indianapolis. For the last two years, he has been one of three partners in creating Fountain Square Brewery.

New degree program: technology leadership and innovation

With a focus on globalization and entire technology systems, the Department of Technology Leadership and Innovation has restructured its curriculum. Three separate degree programs are being consolidated into an umbrella major: technology leadership and innovation.

Purdue team readies for final EcoCAR 2 competition

Members of Purdue University’s EcoCAR 2 team will complete their three-year competition June 1-12, 2014, at GM's proving grounds in Milford, Michigan, and in Washington, D.C.

Wensveen named Aviation Technology department head

John Wensveen, Ph.D., has been appointed professor and head of the Department of Aviation Technology at Purdue University. He will begin his new duties July 1, 2014. His 25-year career has included positions in higher education, aviation consulting, airlines, and project management.
