Assistant/Associate Professor

The School of Engineering Technology at Purdue University has a full-time opening at its Kokomo, Indiana campus, beginning in August 2016. This position is for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor. The Mechanical Engineering Technology program at the Kokomo statewide location is a growing program.

The successful candidate for this position will be required to teach a variety of courses including but not limited to statics & strength of materials, fluid power, computer-aided manufacturing, dynamics, applied fluid mechanics, mechatronics, robotics, and manufacturing processes or other subjects in the mechanical engineering technology curriculum. The candidate will also be expected to serve the university community by participating in committees, recruiting activities, student advising, engagement efforts with the local industry, develop curricular materials and laboratory experiences, and assessment activities intended to maintain accreditation. Applicants must have at least a master’s degree, with preference given to candidates with a PhD in engineering, engineering technology or a related discipline. Relevant, recent industrial related experience is required, and prior teaching experience and PE license are highly desirable.
