Camp Counselor (student position)

Camp Counselor - $12 per hour (about $500 for the week)
5-7 positions available

TEAM camp-working with rising 8-10th grade young women (female applicants only)

  • Work with our office to help immerse/introduce the world of STEM/Technology fields and campus/college life to participants in a fun and inviting way.
  • Live-in a res hall for 4 days, Sunday, 6/24 – Thursday, 6/28 (meals & some snacks covered)
  • Will supervise a group as well as assist in the supervision of the group as a whole.
  • Must be comfortable traveling across campus with a group of younger students
  • Should be comfortable serving as a role model & be willing to answer college life questions
  • There are active periods like time in the CoRec and down time during academic sessions
  • Must be able to self-regulate and stay on task without constant supervision
  • Must be able to keep students on task and focused
  • There is some flexibility with scheduling during the day for Counselors taking summer coursework on campus.

Interested individuals should complete an application for summer employment with the Office of Recruitment, Retention and Diversity in Knoy 150 for consideration.  Interviews will be scheduled and will be filled on a first come basis.  Priority will go to students in the Polytechnic, students affiliated with the Office of Recruitment, Retention and Diversity student organizations, or students that are available throughout the summer and can cross train into more than one position.
