Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor

POSITION TITLE: Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor Computer Graphics Technology (002987-2013)     

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Purdue University is accepting applications for a Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor of Computer Graphics Technology commencing August 2014. This is an academic-year, 10-month position with a two-year initial appointment continuously renewable based upon successful job performance and enrollment. This position includes all benefits of a Purdue University faculty member with advancement through Clinical Full Professor possible.  This position opening is at the Richmond, Indiana location, which represents a direct academic and administrative extension of the College of Technology at the West Lafayette campus.

QUALIFICATIONS: A master’s degree in an area closely related to the teaching assignment is required and 3-6 years of work and/or teaching experience is desirable. The successful candidate will have a background and experience in computer graphics with a strong understanding of aesthetics and technology. Prior teaching is a plus. Applicant must have skill and knowledge in interactive multimedia, 3D animation, simulation, applied computer science, and web/applications design. Gaming experience is a plus. The successful candidate will be expected to develop, revise, and teach courses related to computer graphics, participate in engagement and recruiting activities at the location, maintain industrial contacts for the local advisory committee and assess student learning outcomes by helping them develop their portfolios and demo reels. The assignment will include substantial lecture-lab course instruction. The review process will begin December 1, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled.

STARTING DATE: August 2014.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications.
