The Purdue Polytechnic Institute at New Albany has offered Purdue degrees in New Albany since 1964. The College opened its new Southeast Indiana classrooms and labs in August 2008. Located in the Purdue Technology Center of Southeast Indiana, at the southeast corner of the I-265 and Charlestown Road interchange in New Albany, the College offers students ten state-of-the-art classroom/laboratories for Computer Graphics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Organizational Leadership and Supervision. Three of these labs have been re-equipped through generous grants from local supporters: a $1 million grant from the Paul W. Ogle Foundation and a $20,000 grant from the Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County.

A new center has been created for the Computer Graphics Technology program. The STEAM Design Center will be a student focused enterprise that will plan, manage, design and produce graphics products and services for internal and external clients.
