Purdue University is the first US institution admitted to the International Association of Learning Factories, an association of globally recognized leaders in Manufacturing education and research. This network is built on collaboration between institutions who are strongly supportive of facilitating exchange of students and ideas. This study abroad offering is the first of many expected future collaborations between Purdue and the multiple institutions within the Association.  A large percentage of IALF institutions are located within the European Union.

 

Preliminary Itinerary

Sunday, May 17th

          Arrival in Germany and Travel to Bochum

Monday, May 18th

          AM: session at Ruhr Uni Bochum Learning Factory

          PM: travel to Tübingen by train

Tuesday, May 19th

          Company visit Daimler in Sindelfingen; Fraunhofer IAO, Arena 2036

Wednesday, May 20th

          Company visit Bosch Feuerbach and Stoll Reutlingen

Thursday, May 21st

          Public Holiday -> visit to Daimler or Porsche Museum

Friday, May 22nd

          Start of the Interdisciplinary Seminar at Reutlingen University, Werk150 Learning Factory

Saturday, May 23rd

          Free day

Sunday, May 24th

          Sightseeing trip to the Bodensee

Monday, May 25th  – Friday, May 29th
