The program will start in Munich, Germany where the itinerary will be a combination of cultural visits, industry visit tours, open-air intercultural sessions and a college visit to the university.  While at the university, students will meet with their international office, take a campus tour to learn about the facilities and curriculum and meet up with students from Munich’s International Club.  After a week of activities in Munich and Bavaria, we will travel to Prague.

Prague is a city rich in cultural and technological sites and history.  Students will get the same type of experience at Czech Technical University and be exposed to the idea that Prague is truly an international city with students from all over the world taking cutting edge curriculum in English as a language of instruction.  Intercultural sessions will focus on the Czech people’s unique position in history post World War II, through the Soviet occupation to present day. A day trip to the historic city of Plzen will offer a glimpse of the US liberation of the area during WWII.

This 3 credit hour course will utilize the Global Competence Certificate (GCC) curriculum as we work toward increasing the intercultural competence of our Polytechnic student participants.  Student will complete course work will utilize the GCC online modules as well as focusing on the benefits of intercultural competence in the tech fields that operate in a global setting.
