The PLM Certificate Program is a blend of content, interactive exercises and group discussion to maximize understanding of the concepts and ensure a practical, “real world” focus on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). This certificate program focuses on three core areas that are critical for any successful PLM implementation – model-based definition, product configuration, and manufacturing process planning. After completing this program, participants will have a better understanding of these interconnected technologies that enable companies to make better business decisions throughout the lifecycle of a product.
There are three (3) courses in the certificate program. Participants attend a virtual lecture and virtual laboratory with Purdue faculty for each course. The courses utilize the Siemens PLM suite of tools (NX and Teamcenter) for lab examples of PLM methods. However, the core processes and methods apply to any PLM toolset. As a result, anyone looking to enhance their knowledge of PLM toolsets and process would benefit from these courses. The program was developed in conjunction with The Boeing Company. Now the courses are are available to participants from all companies and industries.
