Neil holds a Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. His most recent industrial experience was as a senior engineer in global hip development for Zimmer Holdings, Inc. in Warsaw, IN. Neil worked as a limited-term lecturer for Purdue College of Technology South Bend in Fall 2013, and joined Purdue in Spring 2014 as a visiting assistant professor. His research interests include control systems and robotics, especially as they relate to physical rehabilitation and quality-of-life aids.
