Maurice Williams, Jr is a proud alum of Claflin University (HBCU) where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. After graduation, he began his career in higher education at his alma mater as an Admissions Counselor, Recruiter and Tour Coordinator for two years. Prior to his graduate studies, he gained admissions experience in the for-profit sector for an additional two years. Afterwards, Mr. Williams attended the University of Pennsylvania where he received an M.S.Ed degree in Higher Education Management. While in graduate school, he received experience in the following areas: residence life (Rosemont College), student activities (Community College of Philadelphia), graduate admission (UPenn Grad School of Ed) and research. Mr. Williams then went on to serve as an Area Coordinator at Bard College while simultaneously conducting research with Dr. Shaun Harper (UPenn Professor) in New York City (nationally distributed reported found here: http://www.opensocietyfoundations.org/sites/default/files/succeeding-cit...).
At Purdue, Mr. Williams first served as the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator for the College of Technology. Since then, he has transitioned to the Associate Director of Recruitment for the Purdue Polytechnic Institute.
