Jim Keppler’s technology degree opened the door and prepared him for this first role as a manufacturing engineer.
“The exposure to that first manufacturing role created a passion for people, process and product that remains with me today,” he says. “Effective communication and problem solving skills are among those that I began to develop during my time at Purdue and are skills that I use in my current role each day.”
Keppler has been able to stay involved on campus with Purdue through his affiliation with Purdue Alumni Association and following Purdue sports. He says one of his favorite memories was when Purdue went to the Rose Bowl in 2001. Outside of his Purdue activities, Keppler also enjoys spending time with his family at the lake and watching his sons participate in various school and club sports.
What are his goals for the future? He says he wants to continue to make positive contributions professionally and within his community. “My Purdue Technology degree provided me with a foundation for a successful career. I am proud to call Purdue University my alma mater!”
