John H. Dickey has spent his professional career working for Hillenbrand Industries and its subsidiaries, Batesville Casket Company and Hill-Rom Holdings.
Nearly halfway through his career, Dickey registered for organizational leadership classes at the Columbus location of the College of Technology. The program, he says, served as a springboard, providing him with the tools and foundation for a successful career.
In the last 20 years, Dickey has distinguished himself as a transformational business leader making significant improvements in a variety of human resource areas. Most notably,he is a business and HR turnaround executive, focusing on organization development, talent building, and streamlining HR infrastructure.
In 2007, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce named him Human Resources Professional of the Year. Dickey is active with the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Batesville Area Community Education Foundation, and the Batesville Area Historical Society.
“I have an internal desire to be the very best at my craft and to help others recognize their gifts,” he says. “It is a privilege and very inspirational to be a part of the development of other professionals.”
Dickey and his wife, Terri, live in Batesville, Indiana.
