My Krannert degree provided me with business knowledge, and my technology degree provided me with technical knowledge. The combination of those gave me a distinct advantage as I was challenged with both business and technical assignments in my career.

General Manager and Senior Vice President for Remy, Inc.

Through his time and dedication to the University, it is evident that Bob is very proud to be a Boilermaker. He is a lifetime member of the alumni association and is a member of President’s Council. He serves on advisory boards for industrial technology, the TAP program, and the College of Technology’s Anderson location.

Bob is currently the general manager and senior vice president of Remy International, Inc. In this position, he is responsible for profit and loss for global automotive operations in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia with manufacturing locations in Mexico, Brazil, Poland, Korea, India, and China. Prior to Remy, he held various assignments with General Motors Corporation.

Bob has 31 years experience in the automotive industry and during his time has made significant contributions to his industry. He is an active member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, Engineering Society of Detroit, Detroit Sales and Marketing Council, Original Equipment and Suppliers Association, American Management Association, and serves on various councils and committees.

Bob and his wife, Kelly, have been married for 31 years and have three children, four grandchildren and are expecting their fifth grandchild in June.
