1.12 - HearNoEvil

This project is sponsored by:

In the past years, various house alarm systems have played an essential role to protect people from numerous accidents such as fires, intrusions, and even natural disasters. However, one major aspect is each alarm’s dependence on its audio system to alert people, making it tough for the 38M+ Americans that have hearing problems. HearNoEvil is a device that aims to operate as a consumer good mainly targeted towards the hearing impaired market. The device aims to serve as a small tool that sits on one’s nightstand and uses a mini-projector to display strobing lights on the ceiling to alert its user in an emergency. In addition to this, HearNoEvil also aims to support an additional market of heavy sleepers and other individuals that suffer from sleep conditions, through its in-pillow vibration device. The vibrator serves as a medium to wake up an individual that can not recognize lights or sounds in their sleep during emergency alarms.
