The Crime by Five Project is focused on creating/modifying a Virtual Reality program that can be used to train individuals in the art of forensic investigation. The project is broken up into two specific sections each worked on by a specific team. This half of the project covers the work done by Team 1.3 on the Tutorial environment. The main purpose of this section is to prepare new users (trainees) for the full forensic program. This is accomplished through a simplified experience in a VR environment allowing the user to get a feel for the VR game and the tool set that will be used in the full training program. This side of the Crime by Five Project differs from the section done by Team 1.2 in that the program is an add-on to the original project and so is built from the ground up. The tutorial environment progressed through the different project cycles such as research, conceptualization, development, modification, and testing. The resulting program is a themed VR game that allows a user to experience virtual reality for the first time as well as train for a specific crime scene simulation.
