Designing Technology For People
Credit Hours: 3.00. This course is about designing for people. Students will cooperatively identify and define an open-ended and ill-defined engineering design problem for a specific user-group. Students will gather information, using ethnographic techniques to assess the needs of the technology user and then use this information to create design solutions. By spending time observing, asking questions and listening to the users, students will learn how to represent constituent views and recommend innovative design solutions. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.
