Data Communications And Networking
Credit Hours: 3.00. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to data communications and networks. Topics include communication standards and concepts, protocols, the Open Systems Interconnect (OSI) model, point-to-point communication, and local area networks. Business issues from both provider and user perspectives are discussed. Current technology and trends in each architectural element are reviewed.
