Tenure-track Assistant - Associate Professor

The School of Engineering Technology at Purdue University has a full-time opening at its Richmond, Indiana campus, beginning in August 2014. This position is for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor. The MET program at Richmond is a growing program.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level a variety of courses, including (but not limited to) : thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid power, manufacturing systems, manufacturing processes, energy systems, automation, mechanical design, materials, and product design/lifecycle or other subjects in the MET curriculum. The candidate will also be expected to serve the university community by participating in committees, recruiting activities, student advising, engagement efforts with the local industry, and assessment activities intended to maintain accreditation. Applicants must have a PhD in engineering, engineering technology, or a related discipline. Relevant, recent industrial experience is required, and prior teaching experience and PE license are highly desirable. Salary is commensurate with qualifications.
