In the News: Solar Decathlon home on the move soon

Purdue University's INhome solar house will leave campus by truck early Monday (Sept. 12) for Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon 2011 competition. About 20 students also will leave for Washington that morning. They plan to start rebuilding the house on the National Mall's West Potomac Park at 11 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 13). Eventually about 50 students and six faculty members will spend some time in Washington. Read more.

The Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship and Krannert School of Management are pleased to announce the 25th annual Burton D. Morgan Business Plan Competition to be held on February 21, 2012. Solar Decathlon team offers final viewing of home

Purdue University's INhome solar house will be open to the public Thursday through Saturday (Aug. 25-27). It will be the last chance to see the inside of the home before it is dismantled and trucked to Washington, D.C., for the U.S. Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon 2011 competition. The free open house will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The house is on McCormick Road just north of Purdue West shopping center. Read more.
