The PLM Center at Purdue University is again offering its wildly popular PLM Certificate Program Courses beginning January 12, 2015. The PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Certificate Program is designed to help you make better decisions by managing product information from concept through disposal to leverage a competitive advantage in your industry. More good news: you do not have to travel to take advantage of this valuable learning opportunity. All PLM Certificate Program courses are offered online!
The Certificate Program includes three courses that help you understand the interconnected technologies of PLM to improve efficiency and performance in the product development process and beyond. The courses provide a practical focus on PLM’s core areas, including: model-based definition (MBD), product data management (PDM), engineering change management, and manufacturing and virtual manufacturing.
The course schedule includes:
- Course 1, Introduction to 3D CAD Design in PLM Environments, starts January 12 and ends February 16, 2015 with no class on January 19.
- Course 2, Introduction to Product Data and Configuration Management in PLM Environments, starts March 2 and ends April 1, 2015.
- Course 3, Introduction to Virtual Manufacturing in PLM Environments, starts April 13 and ends May 13, 2015.
Courses are taught online by Purdue faculty and are intended for professionals outside of a degree program. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded upon completion of each course in the series. The certificate is awarded upon completion of all three courses. The courses do not need to be taken in order but it is recommended. Registration is open now!
