On April 20, Purdue Polytechnic’s Office of Advancement honored 13 outstanding alumni at this year’s Distinguished Technology Alumni Awards, Outstanding Technology Alumni Awards and Early Career Awards. Awardees include aircraft pilots, facilities managers, cybersecurity risk experts and high school STEM educators, among others.
“The Polytechnic Institute prepares our graduates for jobs that do not even exist yet, but will emerge because of the rapid development of emerging technologies,” said Gary R. Bertoline, Purdue Polytechnic dean. “Many of our awardees experienced shifts with their careers due to the rapid acceleration of technology in their industries. They moved beyond what they were hired to do, into new positions of leadership, in part because their Polytechnic education prepared them to grow and adapt. We are enormously proud of them.”
