Professor receives Best Paper award at conference

Mesut Akdere

Mesut Akdere, associate professor of technology leadership and innovation, received the Best Paper Runner Up award, along with his two co-authors, at the 2016 Academy of Human Resource Development International Research Conference in Asia and MENA held in Ifrane, Morocco. Their paper is titled, “Examining organizational dynamics of trust, commitment, and satisfaction in Turkish hospitals: Implications for employee engagement.”

The award is given to the two best papers in the conference as selected by a committee of current and past editors of the Academy of Human Resource Development journals. The award recognizes the outstanding scholarly articles presented in the conference with specific focus on Asia and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) regions.

Akdere is director of the Purdue Polytechnic Leadership Academy and associate program head for the organizational leadership program.
