Purdue Polytechnic degrees conferred, by the numbers

Purdue University awarded 1,016 degrees to the Purdue Polytechnic Institute’s December 2015 and May 2016 graduates in West Lafayette and at the college’s eight statewide locations.

“It’s rewarding to see so many students earn technology-related college degrees,” said Gary Bertoline, Purdue Polytechnic dean. “It also reminds us that what we’re doing to transform our college into a new 21st century polytechnic is as important as ever. Our work has real and positive impact on the lives of students and their families around the state and beyond.”

Here is a breakdown of recent Purdue Polytechnic graduation statistics:

  • At the West Lafayette location, 711 Bachelor of Science, 111 Master of Science, and 18 doctoral degrees were awarded.
  • At the Purdue Polytechnic Statewide locations, 152 Bachelor of Science and 24 Associate of Science degrees were awarded. Students earned these degrees in Anderson, Columbus, Kokomo, Lafayette, New Albany, Richmond, South Bend, and Vincennes.
  • The academic units with the most degrees conferred were the School of Engineering Technology (194) and the Department of Technology Leadership & Innovation (125).
  • Since the college was founded in 1964, approximately 43,000 students have graduated with one or more degrees.

“People are noticing what we’re doing, and enrollment has been trending upward for several years,” Bertoline said. “We look forward to preparing even more uniquely qualified graduates in the coming years.”
