‘Laser Harp’ collaboration between Irish artist, Polytechnic students, faculty displayed at Cavan Culture Night
Purdue Polytechnic engineering technology faculty and staff have had a multi-year collaboration with an Irish artist to create a harp that uses a laser diode system in place of acoustic strings. Now that they have a playable, zero-lag instrument, it's ready to be played:

“My professors say that you can’t create exhibits without first experiencing them yourself,” said Carys George, a student at Purdue Indy who majors in themed entertainment design.
