Tech Pride Golf Scramble nets $12K for scholarships

The 2017 Tech Pride Golf Scramble, held September 29 at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex’s Ackerman-Allen Course, raised $12,000 for Purdue Polytechnic student scholarships. Eighteen full teams with 72 golfers attended.

Teddy Deahl, Dave Buck, Dick Vansickle, and Dave Gasvoda, the members of Bowen Engineering’s team, won first place.

Chuck Goodrich, Joe Shanahan, Chuck Scholar, and Zac Shelton, the Gaylor Electric team, placed second. The Haggard & Stocking team, with Steve Jordan, Bill Boyd, John Ehrhart, and Charlie Smith, were third.

Dick Vansickle (of Bowen Engineering) won the closest-to-the-pin contest at hole #13, and Ryan Gastineau (of Kirby Risk) won the longest putt contest at hole #18.
