A UV photoreactor has been prototyped to neutralize toxic chemicals from testing cannabis products to aid in safe disposal down the drain and reducing pollutants in waste water.
Problem Statement
Due to the legalization of cannabis from the Farm Bill of 2018, products must be tested to ensure the THC content is less than 0.3% by dry weight. This testing causes toxic chemicals that need to be neutralized for safe disposal.
