COMPUTER RECOMMENDATIONS

The specifications provided are reflective of current recommendations for 2024. However, technology evolves rapidly, and new models with updated specs become available frequently.

  • Aviation and Transportation Majors: Personal preference for all students
  • Professional Flight: An iPad or iOS device is recommended by AT 210 course
  • Animation and Visual Effects/Game Development:

    • NVidia RTX 3060 or higher (8GB on-card memory)
    • 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13620H, 16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD
    • 14” QHD+ display, 165 Hz refresh rate
  • Web Programming and Design: Windows laptop preferred for Adobe Suite and Visual Studio
  • UX Design, Data Visualization: Any new laptop or tablet, Mac or Windows
  • Intel Core i5/i7 (4-core) or Apple M2/M3
  • 16 GB RAM minimum, especially for virtual machines
  • 500 GB SSD (1TB recommended)
  • 64-bit Windows 11, Linux, or Mac (BootCamp/VMware)
  • Windows laptop with a modern processor and graphics card
  • Note: MacOS not recommended
