Why are you a Dean’s Student Leader?
I personally enjoy mentoring others but more importantly taking initiative to create new opportunities for them. This is a way for me to pass along any student wants, needs, and even frustrations at Purdue Polytechnic to make it an even better college. Apart from having the opportunity to be taught by our great professors, I think having a great learning community will enrich student experiences even more.

What other activities are you involved in on or off campus?
I’ve been an intern for Hewlett Packard Enterprise since January and work at their office at the Union during the school year. I’m the founder and president of the Purdue User Experience Design student organization and an active member of the Purdue Filipino Association. I also try and de-stress at the Co-Rec as much as possible!

Where do you want to be/ what do you want to be doing in 10 years?
I’ll probably be managing my own User Experience Design consulting company. I’m in the process of taking as many entrepreneurship and business classes right now to help me get a good foundation. If not, I’ll probably still be in the path of becoming a User Experience Designer.

Why did you choose the Polytechnic Institute?
I chose the Polytechnic Institute because I wanted to build myself surrounded by people in the polytechnic fields. It also showed me a career path of User Experience Design that I didn’t know existed until I joined. I’m really proud of being a part of this community because of its openness and tenacity to help students succeed.
