Adam Ashouri, hailing from Chicago but calling Fort Wayne home, is honored to carry on his family’s legacy as the 16th member to attend Purdue University. Guided by the wisdom of his parents, Carolyn, a Purdue alum, and Amer, a first-generation immigrant, Adam learned early on the virtues of diligence, organization, and collaboration. During his time at Purdue (2010-2014), pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Adam was fortunate to earn distinctions and make the Dean’s list seven of eight semesters. He cherishes the experiences gained through internships with esteemed companies like Shuck Corporation and Kiewit Power Constructors, even venturing abroad to Saudi Arabia for a once in a lifetime opportunity with the Construction Management program.
Adam’s pursuit of knowledge led him to pursue an MBA with a Finance concentration at Butler University from 2018 - 2020, all while balancing full-time work commitments. Over the years, he’s had the privilege of overseeing projects totaling nearly $300 million in various sectors across different regions, from healthcare to education, pharmaceutical manufacturing and beyond. Adam remains deeply committed to giving back, serving on boards like the Purdue Technology Alumni Board and the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) PDC Summit Strategic Planning Committee, alongside other civic engagements. His passion for enhancing the educational journey for future students at Purdue drives him to volunteer his time and resources. Adam humbly acknowledges the invaluable lessons learned from Purdue’s community and endeavors to pay it forward, fostering the next generation of industry- ready graduates. Adam currently works at Meyer Najem Construction in Indianapolis. He is married to Ashley and has a son, Cameron. When he’s not working, you can find him rooting for the Boilermakers, out on the golf course, or out in the field trying to reach his pheasant bag limit.
