What made you decide to choose your specific major?

Growing up I was always very interested in technology. I enjoyed programming and coding because of some experience I had from high school classes. Therefore when it came time to pick a major I decided I wanted to do something with technology and Purdue Polytechnic’s Computer and Information Technology program seemed most fitting for me.

What are a couple of your favorite things about your program of study?

A couple of my favorite things about my program of study is the people, the community, and the classes. All of these have made being in this program so fun and rewarding.

What has been one of your favorite class projects?

One of my favorite class projects was all of the coding assignments that I completed in CNIT 155. This class was a python introduction course and I really enjoyed getting to code every week for assignments and labs.

What other activities are you involved in on campus?

Some other activities that I am involved with on campus is the Delta Zeta Woman’s Sorority, Women in Technology Organization, and WiTty Sisters Organization.

What do you know about your program of study now that you wish someone had told you when you were choosing a major?

Something that I know now about my program of study that I wished someone would have told me when I was choosing my major is that Computer and Information Technology is different from Computer Science.

What would be one piece of advice for prospective students or new Purdue students?

One piece of advise I have for prospective students or new Purdue students is to make friends and be involved. Everyone says that but it really is so important to make good connections early on in college.
