Not everyone comes into this major with preexisting construction experience, and you gain that knowledge through labs and internships that serve as preparation for a variety of trades. I enjoyed the times when industry professionals came to our courses, and they provided many unforgettable lessons.”

What specific classes helped prepare you for your new job?

My CM150 course was really helpful in learning tools and means and methods for projects. Not everyone comes into construction management with actual construction experience, and gaining this knowledge prepares you for the trades and understanding their daily tasks.

If you had a favorite class, project, experience, or professor, what/who was it, and why?

I liked when industry professionals and trades people came in. I was able to use what I learned from visitors to CM150 on the jobsite to oversee a team of masons. This is a memory I will never forget, and the photos are what I always show when people ask about my internship experience.
