Gabi Wang

Professional Flight Technology and Aviation Management (SATT)

What made you decide to choose your specific major?

I’ve always dreamed of becoming a pilot. When I found out about Purdue’s pro flight program, I decided to apply immediately.

What are a couple of your favorite things about your program of study?

My favorite part is flying over the beautiful campus. It is so cool to see the scenery change from one season to another

What has been one of your favorite class projects?

My favorite class has to be the AT103 class. That class challenged me in many different areas and I had to study the hardest for that class.

What other activities are you involved in on campus?

I’m a part of Women in Aviation, Purdue pro pilots, and I’m also a pledge for AHP. Besides the aviation clubs, I’m also a part of women in technology.

What do you know about your program of study now that you wish someone had told you when you were choosing a major?

It is really challenging. This major is a combination of hands on experience and growing your knowledge for your flight training.

What would be one piece of advice for prospective students or new Purdue students?

Try to prepare yourself for the fall semester in the summer.
