Director of Production Engineering for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics

Mark Hoagland is the director of Production Engineering, Aeronautics, for Lockheed Martin Corporation. In this capacity, he is responsible for managing Production Engineering processes, systems, and talent across the Aeronautics business area. He works closely with the F-35, Integrated Fighter Group, Advanced Program Development (Skunkworks), and Air Mobility and Maritime Mission leadership to support program execution and define future business process requirements.

Previously, Mark held various positions on the F-35 program over a 20-year period, including director of Production Engineering, Italy Country program manager, Leonardo Wing Co-Production program manager, and Manufacturing Engineering manager on the JSF System Development & Demonstration (SDD) program.

Throughout his 36-year career with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Mark has become an expert in development of 4th and 5th generation fighter aircraft. His skills include manufacturing plan definition, production capability standup, proposal development, budget management and project planning. He graduated from Purdue University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
