Purdue and the Polytechnic Institute have given me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of electrical and control systems for different use cases. The classes that I feel helped prepare me the most for my career were Intro to Industrial Controls and Embedded Digital Systems.

Designing, reading, and building electrical panels, and designing control programs for PLC systems and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).

Purdue and the Polytechnic Institute have given me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of electrical and control systems for different use cases, such as microcontrollers, PLCs, FPGA boards, high-power electrical energy systems, and digital signal processing.

What specific classes (titles are more helpful than course numbers) helped prepare you for your new job?

The classes that I feel helped prepare me the most for my career were my Intro to Industrial Controls (ECET 30201) and Embedded Digital Systems (ECET 279) classes.
