Aviation Management (SATT)

What made you decide to choose your specific major?

I chose to pursue a degree in Aviation Management because I have always been interested in the logistics behind travel and transportation.

What are a couple of your favorite things about your program of study?

My major has surrounded me with motivated peers who influence me to become a better student and networker. I have also enjoyed my professors and advisors over these past three years. They show true concern for my education and development as young adult.

What other activities are you involved in on campus?

I am a campus relations committee member with Purdue University Dance Marathon (PUDM), a supervisor with Boiler Gold Rush (BGR), and I also work in member services at the Corec!

What do you know about your program of study now that you wish someone had told you when you were choosing a major?

I wish I had known that the skills and knowledge acquired in my major are so widely applicable in various career fields. When I was a freshman, I felt I put myself in a box with no way out. I now realize that endless opportunities come about when you commit to learning, talk to the right people, and put yourself out there.

What would be one piece of advice for prospective students or new Purdue students?

Get involved with at least one student organization or club, and early on. These will keep you busy and help you meet some brilliant people with whom you can build lasting friendships.
