The project is to design and build a workbench capable of cutting, milling, and tapping the ends of 80/20 aluminum workpieces. The design requirements specified that the saw should be able to rotate and cut at multiple angles. There must also be an easy measurement system for repeated operations at the same length. There must be a measurement device that can acurately measure a workpiece up to 0.01". All operations must be able to be accomplished on two different sizes of 80/20. There also must be a storage system for commonly used tools and fasteners. The intended user of this product will be students working at the Bechtel Center.
