Mesut Akdere, associate professor of human resource development and the director of Purdue Polytechnic Leadership Academy at Purdue University, has been reappointed to the Board of Examiners of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The Baldrige Performance Excellence Program offers criteria, assessments, training and other tools for organizational improvement. The program also oversees the nation’s only federal award for performance excellence.
“My empirical research related to performance improvement has been instrumental in my work with the Baldrige program,” said Akdere.
