Aviation faculty host 22 Chinese government, airport officials

Chien-tsung Lu, associate professor of aviation technology, and Stewart Schreckengast, continuing lecturer in Purdue Polytechnic's School of Aviation and Transportation Technology, are hosting a delegation of 22 Chinese government aviation officials and airport representatives for two weeks in West Lafayette. The delegation will learn about international aviation and about U.S. aviation standards and international rules, including emergency management and emergency planning.

“The aviation industry is blossoming in China, providing many opportunities,” he said. “That’s causing a need for opening airspace and new airports, and obtaining more aviation training.”
