Aviation management students in finals of Boeing competition

Five aviation management students are competing in the finals of the first Boeing Company Business Case Competition this weekend.

The competition, between teams from Purdue University and the University of Illinois, asks students to apply their knowledge of supply chains, finance and LEAN concepts to industry problems.

Eight Purdue teams competed for the chance to travel to Seattle to present their solution. SkyTeam, the winning team, consisted of all aviation management majors: Amber Lloyd, Chris Webb, Dan Wiggins, Tracey Guerrero and Bellamy Oon.

SkyTeam will compete against the top Illinois team for the grand prize, which includes a cash prize, interviews at Boeing, a tour of the 787 Dreamliner production line and a chance to present their plan to Boeing executives.
