1960s

Scott Niswonger (AT ’68, HDR T ’04), life member, Greeneville, TN, was honored as a recipient of the 2015 Governor’s Art Award for Arts Leadership by the State of Tennessee.

1980s

Bruce Molter (CMT ’83), member, Elmhurst, IL, is the president of Hagerman Inc., the construction management division of The Hagerman Group. He is located in the Fishers, IN, office and is responsible for all operations related to Hagerman Inc.

Mike Holtkamp (CMT ’84), Greenwood, IN, has been with The Hagerman Group for nearly 30 years and is now vice president in the Fishers office. He oversees projects at Indiana Grand, the Indianapolis Museum of Art Visitors Pavilions, and the Loftus Parking Garage.

Jay Wilhelm (CMT ’87), Fort Wayne, IN, was recently promoted to project executive at The Hagerman Group. He joined the company in 2014 and works from the Fort Wayne office. Recently, he has been working on a project with Valparaiso University.

1990s

Armorelle M. (Sanert) Cook (LA’98, OLS ’00), life member, and Troy A. Cook (M ’91), life member, North Vernon, IN, welcomed identical twin sons on Nov. 26. Brennan James and Graham Daniel join two brothers, Connor and Rowan. All four future Boilermakers are the grandsons of Frederick A. Cook (A’69), life member, and Barbara J. (Miers) Cook (LA’71, MS EDU’76), life member, of Crawfordsville, IN.

David McMath (CMT ’91), Fishers, IN, has been working for The Hagerman Group for 16 years; he is currently project manager in the Fishers, IN, office. He is managing the Wabash Independent Student Living project.

Michael Kazmierzak (CMT ’92), life member, Covington, LA, graduated from the US Army War College in Carlisle, PA, with a master’s degree in strategic studies. His wife, Emily, and their three future Boilermakers — Hannah, Clara, and Henry — joined him for the July 24 graduation ceremony.

Chris Harmon (CMT ’97), Fort Wayne, IN, is currently working at The Hagerman Group as director of field operations in Fort Wayne. He is a key team member in the operations department and oversees field operations for all office projects.

2000s

William Johnson (MET ’07), Lafayette, IN, was awarded the 2014 Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship at IUPUI to become an engineering technology teacher in Indiana.

Emily Smalley (OLS ’01) and husband, Nick Smalley, Royal Oak, MI, welcomed their daughter, Chelsea Elizabeth, January 6.

Melody Birmingham-Byrd (OLS ’04), Carmel, IN, was named president of Duke Energy’s Indiana operations.

Brad M. Smith (CMT ’00), Monroeville, IN, has been working at The Hagerman Group since 2000 and is currently working in the Fort Wayne, IN, office as vice president for Hagerman Inc. He oversees all aspects of the Fort Wayne office and some of his most recent projects include working with the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, Valparaiso University, and the Cameron Memorial Community Hospital.

Frank Garofalo (CGT ’08), life member, Redlands, CA, was promoted to manager, interactive, at Esri. Within Esri, the Interactive Department includes the user interface design team, user experience team, icon design team, and usability team.

Andrew Huehls (CMT’03), Indianapolis, IN, has been with The Hagerman Group since January 2013. He is working as a senior estimator in the Fishers, IN, office, most recently working on the various improvements and additions at Indiana Grand.

Brian Leonard (OLS ’03), Hanna City, IL, has started his own consulting firm, Lean Sigma Advisors LLC, serving the healthcare industry and small manufacturing firms. He previously spent 10 years with Purdue Healthcare Advisors.

Thomas Werling (CMT ’03), Fort Wayne, IN, works as a project manager in The Hagerman Group’s Fort Wayne office. He has been working on multiple projects with Cameron Memorial Hospital.

Greg Delarange (CMT ’06), Noblesville, IN, works at The Hagerman Group as a senior project manager in the Fishers office. He oversees the company’s annual Employee Recognition Event, and his most recent projects include Tuttle Middle School, Tate & Lyle, and The Indianapolis Museum of Art Visitors Pavilion.

Adam Keller (CMT ’07), Pittsboro, IN, works as a project manager in the Fishers, IN, office of The Hagerman Group and has been with the company since 2007. He has most recently worked with Indiana Grand and Roncalli High School.

Ben Stuby (CMT ’08), Fort Wayne, IN, has been with The Hagerman Group since 2013 and is currently a project manager. He has been working most recently at The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo.

2010s

Kati (Thompson) Hutsell (OLS ’11), Austin, TX, is working at Google as an online candidate specialist, a part of the Staffing Services Team.

Brian Griffiths (ID ’11), Carmel, IN, was recently named director of strategic sales at Angie’s List.

Tyler Musgrave (CMT ’13), Rochester, IN, has been working for The Hagerman Group since graduation as a project engineer.
