College leads several categories in ASEE data

The Purdue University College of Technology leads the nation in several categories of the 2012 Profiles of Engineering and Engineering Technology Colleges, published by ASEE.

Among 99 institutions that offer engineering technology programs, the College of Technology topped several categories during 2011-12:

  • Number of bachelor's degrees awarded (659)
  • Number of bachelor's degrees awarded to women (74)
  • Enrollment (2,745)
  • Graduate enrollment (459)
  • Number of graduate degrees awarded (184)

The annual publication tracks engineering and engineering technology programs in the U.S., including institutional data and national trends.

"We are proud of our history and our standing among engineering technology schools," said Gary Bertoline, dean of the College of Technology. "For 50 years, we have been a leader in educating technologists at all levels. As we look ahead, I see even more improvement in the number of women and graduate students we are able to attract and graduate."
