Hansen honored by ITERA

HansenRay Hansen, clinical assistant professor of computer and information technology, received the 2016 Distinguished Service Award from the Information and Telecommunications Education and Research Association (ITERA) for his many contributions to service, education, and research.

Hansen served two years as the ITERA president and another two years as its vice president.

“His service has benefited many students from many schools as he not only provided leadership to ITERA, but also prepared and presented many significant research works and technical tutorials at our annual conferences,” said Michael Bowman, chairman of the ITERA board of directors.

The award was presented at the ITERA annual conference in April.

ITERA is a non-profit academic association representing dozens of colleges and universities with degree programs focused on telecommunications, networking, information, and computer science.
