Purdue Polytechnic New Albany students have designed and built a modern version of a medieval weapon called a trebuchet. The ultimate goal? To hurl a pumpkin 125 yards across a field for the Purdue Pumpkin Chunking Competition, which is part of this year's Harvest Homecoming Festival in New Albany.
The event is part hands-on learning, part community building.
