Snively named student services coordinator in Richmond

Christopher Snively has been named student services coordinator for Purdue University College of Technology, Richmond. He joins Christy Tollett in overseeing all admissions and student services for the location.

Snively was most recently an instructor and teaching assistant at Purdue University in West Lafayette. Prior to that, he was the director of national operations and membership development of Veterans for Peace, based out of St. Louis. He has also worked at the Pierre Laclede Honors College at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and served in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany and earned Expeditionary and NATO medals for service in Hungary, Croatia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

He is a member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), Phi Kappa Phi, the Golden Key Honor Society, and Alpha Mu Gamma Foreign Language Honors Society.

Snively holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri-St. Louis  and a master’s degree  in history from Purdue. He has completed all but the dissertation in a PhD program in history at Purdue University.  His wife, Jessica Raffelson, teaches French at Richmond High School. They have two children.

Purdue University offers degrees in engineering technologies, computer graphics, industrial technology, and organizational leadership at its Richmond location.  The College of Technology is located in Tom Raper Hall on the campus of Indiana University East and offers in-state tuition to several Ohio counties.
