Purdue’s annual Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Core Training, a professional development opportunity for K-12 teachers, has moved to West Lafayette for the first time.
Purdue University is expanding its collaboration with the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) STEM education program for K-12 students.
For 14 years, the Purdue Polytechnic Institute (formerly the College of Technology) has led Purdue University’s affiliate partnership with the national organization from its Kokomo location. To help increase PLTW teachers’ exposure to the college’s programs and facilities, the college liaison to PLTW will soon be headquartered on the West Lafayette campus.
Purdue University's engineering/technology teacher education program within the College of Technology was named the nation’s outstanding program in 2012 by the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE).
As the nation’s educational and political leaders call for an increase in the number of college graduates in STEM academic fields (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), individual institutions are answering the call with more focused efforts in recruitment events.
