Two receive Good to Great awards for NSF grants

Dean Gary Bertoline honored two faculty with the Good to Great Awards during the monthly Dean's Forum Sept. 9. Recipients were:

  • Chad Laux, assistant professor in the Department of Technology Leadership & Innovation (industrial technology), for his work in securing a recent National Science Foundation (NSF) grant. He will work with Ivy Tech Community College to create a program that will prepare students for careers in the food and foodstuff industry.
  • Jenny Daugherty, assistant professor in the Department of Technology Leadership & Innovation (organizational leadership and supervision), for her work in securing a recent NSF grant. She will work with two other off-campus researchers to determine the viability of an engineering concept-based approach to professional development for high school science teachers.

Recipients of the Good to Great Award are involved with endeavors that improve the college's public image, show a commitment to excellence and demonstrate impact.
