Wensveen to speak at IBJ Aviation and Aerospace event

John Wensveen, head and professor in the School of Aviation and Transportation Technology at Purdue University, will be one of nine speakers at the second annual Aviation & Aerospace in Indiana breakfast April 14.

Thomas Vice, corporate vice president and president Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, will be the keynote speaker at the event.

Wensveen will be joined on stage by Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and executives from several aerospace companies and their suppliers, including Rolls Royce, Republic Airways, Raytheon and Praxair. Speakers have been asked to address workforce preparation, skills gaps in the sector, Indiana’s aerospace and defense industry supply chain, and important current and future technologies.

The School of Aviation and Transportation Technology will also be represented by 10 faculty and staff and 10 students. The event, part of the Indiana Business Journal Power Breakfast series, is sponsored by the State of Indiana and Conexus.
