Apr 17, 2025 Cyber-Physical Virtual Reality In the late 1990s, the author and colleagues developed the concept of Cyber-Physical Virtual Reality, expanding traditional Virtual Reality to integrate with and influence the physical world through sensing and actuation. This approach aims to make physical environments as flexible and rich as virtual ones. The author reflects on how their education, especially at Purdue in Electrical Engineering Technology, laid the groundwork for this work. The talk will cover their journey, showcase Cyber-Physical VR projects, and explore how these ideas shape new trends in human-centered computing. Link
