Fabiola is a seasoned corporate and education professional with over two decades of experience. Fabiola joined the Purdue Polytechnic as Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives and Industry Partnerships in 2024. Before joining the Polytechnic, Fabiola worked at Purdue Office of Industry Partnerships as Senior Director - technology sector.
In the past, she worked as a strategic account manager for Autodesk Education, where she focused on creating and nurturing thought leadership and research opportunities with top-tier engineering schools in the United States. Additionally, she played a key role in developing engagement between executives and top academic leadership, including deans, provosts, and chancellors. Fabiola has received numerous accolades for her work at Autodesk, including the Top-Rated Speaker award at the Autodesk University Conference 2022 for her Industry and Academia Partnerships workshop.
Fabiola has held several educational positions, ranging from Chair and Dean to National Managing Director of Instructional Operations for various colleges. In these roles, she oversaw the development and implementation of hybrid delivery curricula and supervised international teams of subject matter experts, instructional designers, and project managers. She also recruited, trained, and supervised numerous faculty members and industry advisors, establishing relationships with industry members on several advisory boards.
She received a Master of Architecture and Urban Design from the University of São Paulo, graduating with honors. Additionally, she holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture and urban design from the same institution and completed a one-year specialization in Pedagogy for Higher Education at Mackenzie University in São Paulo. Currently, Fabiola is pursuing a Ph.D. in Engineering Education at Purdue University with a research concentration on AI-based generative design and its effects on how engineers solve problems.
Fabiola currently serves on the American Society for Engineering Education’s Design for Engineering Education Division board as a diversity officer. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, attending concerts, and working out.
