Liang He, Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Graphics Technology, earned a master’s degree and a doctorate in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle. He also earned a master's degree in Computational Design from Carnegie Mellon University and a master's degree in Applied Computer Technology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Liang's research in human-computer interaction (HCI) focuses on the design and development of novel interactive techniques and tools that mediate human interactions with custom physical objects, devices, and interfaces for computing. He also worked in HP Labs, in the VIBE group at Microsoft Research (Redmond), and at Keio-NUS CUTE Center. Liang publishes at top HCI venues such as CHI, UIST, IMWUT, TEI, and ASSETS and received two best paper awards and one best paper nominee.
